DEMIR KAPIJA OPEN
Demir Kapija Open - Kayak on wild waters - slalom is held on August 28th and 29th every year, organized by KCC "Prosek" and the Municipality of Demir Kapija.
Kayakers from North Macedonia and neighboring countries participate in this open cup and the best kayakers are rewarded.
CLIMBING MARATHON
DEMIR KAPIJA
The climbing marathon in Demir Kapija is held at the beginning of October in the climbing locality of Demir Kapija Gorge. The competitions are spread over more than 400 routes and are divided into two categories, depending on the difficulty of the climbing routes. Climbing is in pairs, and the best climbers receive prizes.
WEEK OF TRADITION
„ST. TRIPHON“ DEMIR KAPIJA
The manifestation "Tradition Week St. Trifun - Demir Kapija" celebrates the holiday of the growers St. Trifun is held traditionally every year on February 14th.
The program lasts for several days until the main event on February 14th and is filled with a variety of contents such as grapevine pruning competitions, competitions in the best homemade wine and brandy, theatre performances, cultural-artistic part, etc.
DEMIR KAPIJA FAIR
HOLY MOTHER
On the 28th of August every year, the traditional Demir Kapija Fair dedicated to the religious holiday of the Great Holy Mother is held. The fair is visited by a large number of guests from several cities of our country.
In the days before, a traditional mini-football tournament is held where the best teams are rewarded.
Guests also use their free time to visit the Wine Museum, Wine Cellars, Demir Kapija Gorge and other sights of Demir Kapija.
INDEPENDENCE DAY OF
DEMIR KAPIJA
November 7th is the day when the liberation of the Municipality of Demir Kapija is celebrated.
This day is traditionally celebrated every year by laying fresh flowers on the monuments dedicated to the fallen soldiers in the NOB, holding a formal session, awarding awards and recognitions "November 7th", cultural-artistic part, holding an art exhibition, etc.
THEATER FESTIVAL
„WITHOUT FRAME“
For the first time last year 2022, from July 28 to August 5, the first International Theater Festival "Without Frame"was held in Demir Kapija, which aims to become traditional.
Actors from several Balkan countries participate in the 8 performances, and the hall is full of guests from several cities in the country. The festival is organized by the House of Culture "Mirka Ginova" Demir Kapija, the amateur theater and the Municipality of Demir Kapija.
INTERNATIONAL OUTDOOR FESTIVAL "SAKAM PROMAJA"
The International Outdoor Festival "Sakam Promaja" is traditionally held on the third weekend of May. This festival unites all sports in the territory of Demir Kapija Municipality, such as rock climbing, kayaking and rafting, mountaineering, paragliding, children's activities, etc. Numerous athletes, sports clubs and federations, as well as lovers of nature, adventure and good fun participate in it.
